River Cleanups

River cleanups are a great way to give back to the rivers and lakes we play on.  The Power  Of Water is sponsoring or promoting a number of clean ups throughout the paddling season.

The season opener will be a clean up of the Chippewa River in Mount Pleasant.  Join us  Saturday April 5 for a Pick & Play Day.  We’ll meet in the parking lot for the Chip whitewater park, do a bit of trash picking in the morning and then have some fun playing in the rapids of the park.  There is an opportunity for land based and water based participants to help out.  The water will be cold so water based cleaners need to have at least a wetsuit for protection.  POW will supply the trash collection bags.  If you plan on attending please register so we can plan accordingly.
