Two distinct coastlines. One West Coast experience.
Surge Narrows, located off Quadra Island, offers fast-moving tidal currents, standing waves, and dynamic features ideal for refining boat control in moving water. The area is well known for its tidal play and opportunities to work eddylines, ferries, and rescues in current.
On the southwest coast of Vancouver Island, Port Renfrew is home to rugged rock gardens, sea caves, and exposed coastal paddling. The dynamic coast offers a little something for everyone.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Our low student-to-coach ratios mean we can meet you where you are and take full advantage of the environment each day. This sea kayaking trip is designed to challenge you in ways that are accessible and fun, with real progress you can feel.
We will focus on ocean kayaking skills like rough water boat handling, rock gardening, surfing, and rescues. This is an incredible location with many opportunities to put your skills to use!
