All the paddlers on our 2018 Yough Fall Colors trip began their path towards becoming solid whitewater boaters in the swimming pool over the winter.

They all had followed a similar path that included:
Seeking coaching
Pool lessons
Practice in the pool with peers
Local river training
Southern Rivers Whitewater training
River practice with peers
River safety and rescue classes
Lower Yough weekend

Along the way they’ve learned to paddle as a team and to support each other all while developing their personal skills.

If you aspire to paddle rivers with grace and style, the place to lay the foundation for success is in the pool this winter in Brighton and Eaton Rapids.
